Restonic Mattress Timeline
Restonic was founded in 1938 as the Triple Cushion Corporation. The eight founding members made mattresses using a patented construction that was the forerunner to today's Marvelous Middle construction, offering extra support in the center third of the mattress
The Triple Cushion Corporation changes its name to Restonic.
Mel Blanc, the voice of Bugs Bunny and famous for his “Whatʼs up, doc?” line, records a series of radio ads for Restonic.
Restonic Mattress trademarks its Marvelous Middle™ construction and introduces numerous product innovations.
Steve Allen and Jayne Meadows, real-life husband and wife, become Restonicʼs celebrity spokes-couple for several years to come.
Restonic Mattress is awarded the Consumers Digest Best Buy™ Award in recognition of exceptional quality and value in the highly competitive marketplace.
For the second time, Restonic Mattress is awarded the Consumers Digest Best Buy™ Award.
