Drew and Jonathan Scott<\/a>, design experts and hosts of HGTV\u2019s Property Brothers, understand the challenges of managing stress and can offer some advice to safeguard against anxiety at this time of year. Drew\u2019s no. 1 rule is to be kind to yourself. \u201cDon\u2019t try to do everything at once, and don\u2019t create that expectation,\u201d he says. \u201cAim to get two or three things done on your list \u2013 and that could be as simple as updating your list \u2013 each day to give you that important feeling of steady progress.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jonathan believes in the benefits of regular exercise to help maintain a healthy peace of mind: \u201cA regular walk is a nice way to end the day, especially if you have someone to share it with. We\u2019ve gotten more into outdoor gatherings, and now\u2019s the perfect time to grab that fire pit and s\u2019mores ingredients.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jonathan\u2019s advice is sage. He recommends that you pick and choose which events will matter most to you, whether it\u2019s the people involved or the setting. \u201cAlways go for quality over quantity,\u201d he notes.<\/p>\n

Jonathan offers his insights, too. \u201cSpending time with the people you love is a good resolution<\/a> all by itself, so if you\u2019re together for the holidays, make it a point to get together again soon,\u201d he says. \u201cPut it on the calendar and stick to it. You\u2019ll be glad you did.\u201d<\/p>\n
